Weekly Review No 130 (1944) R.A.F, New Zealander Receives Order of Lenin: RAF piliots from the Hurricane wing that fought in Russia attend a ceremony at the Soviet Embassy in London where four colleagues are decorated with the Order of Lenin for their services. The leader of the RAF pilots is a New Zealander, Wing Commander Isherwood who is shown receiving his medal and at work and home. 02.05 Soldiers Pick Nelson Tobacco: Soldiers help ease the labour shortage on Nelson tobacco farms. Farm girls, known as 'angels', hang the tobacco leaves up to dry. 03.50 Second Furlough Party Returns: New Zealand soldiers on furlough from fighting in the Middle East arrive at the Port of Wellington and are warmly greeted by family and friends.
