A Bailey bridge is constructed similar to ones use by soldiers in Italy to save motorists a three mile detour. 02.44 Motored Torpedo Boats in Adriatic: In an Adriatic port, men in the Royal Navy, including some New Zealanders, load torpedos onto their MTB's in preparation for more action on the water. 04.53 From War to Peace, Returned Men Train for Building: Returned Servicemen build the runways at Ohakea and Whenuapai and the new suburb of Hutt City in Wellington.
