| Pictorial Parade No 121 (1961) Malayan Airlift: The New Zealand Army and Air Force combine to transport 1,700 New Zealand troops and their families between New Zealand and Malaya as New Zealand's contribution to the Commonwealth Strategic Reserve in South East Asia. Soldiers training at Burnham Military Camp GVs, aircraft crews familiarise themselves with new aircraft, !st Battalion on parade, 2nd Battalion arrives back from Malaya at Whenuapai Airbase, plane is prepared for return journey, troops and families board and depart, in-flight GVs, refueling in Darwin, flying to Singapore, change planes for Malaya, arrive at Malacca at the start of a two year tour of duty.
