City of Health (1944) Propaganda film made to show America how its servicemen were convalescing in New Zealand. It shows US servicemen at a hospital in Auckland, relaxing around the city and meeting the local ladies. It also shows New Zealand's war effort with the manufacture of grenades and fabrics. Shot on 16mm reversal colour film this film shows Auckland towards the end of the war. Duration 10.39
