Pictorial Parade No 41 (1955) Salute to the SAS: NZ SAS troops on an exercise in the bush near the Waiouru army camp. The soldiers run in formation and train on the confidence course, roof ladders and flying fox. There is also hand to hand combat training and the troops stage a mock attack on a truck during an ambush exercise. 03.20: Huskies for Hillary: Husky pups at Auckland Zoo are descendants of the dogs that Captain Robert Falcon Scott used on his journey to the South Pole in 1912. The pups are destined for an Antarctic adventure of their own with Sir Edmund Hillary. The pups feeding from their mother and with a foster mother. 04.30 Shark Fishing on the Kaipara: Fishermen loading boat for shark fishing trip on the Kaipara Harbour. The boat motors down a tidal creek to the harbour. The fishermen bait their hooks and put down a line to check for sharks. They winch in a big line on which many sharks are caught. The sharks are gutted and their livers stripped out. At the fish factory the livers are processed for oil. Duration: 09.48
